The Rising Sun, Kingsand The Rising Sun The Green, Kingsand “Famous for excellent food”
Come and visit us for a relaxing drink and sample some of our delicious homemade food. Nestling on the village green, The Rising Sun offers a true experience of a traditional English pub. We are proud to be in our fifteenth year at the pub, hoping to be serving you for another fifteen.
For real ale connoisseurs, Heligan Honey from Skinners Brewery in Truro, and Sharp’s Ales from Rock in North Cornwall are a must! We also offer a variety of draught & bottled lagers & cider, spirits and soft drinks.
The majority of our menu is comprised of homemade dishes and in season, grilled fresh fish. Our speciality signature dish is our famous Fish soup, packed with a selection of fresh fish, squid and mussels, made on the premises to our own secret recipe and available all year round. We are pleased to source most of our produce locally and use only the best we can find.
Once a month, (on the middle Wednesday) we hold a pub quiz, open to all. (£1 per player with teams of up to six people.)
Every Saturday night 9.00-11.00 we have Live music provided by talented local musicians, so why not book a table, have a meal, and stay to enjoy a great evening! “Home to Live Music on the Peninsula”

The Old Bakery, The Old Bakery (previously Morans), Garrett Street, CawsandThe Old Bakery, (previously Morans), Garrett Street, Cawsand
The Old Bakery (previously Morans) is a very special place to eat. Located in the heart of the world heritage villages of Kingsand/Cawsand, it’s just a stone’s throw from the sea and right on the south west coastal path. The building dates from 1760 and was once a coaching house and inn, and later, a haberdashery, chemist and bank. The original architectural features in the café are now Grade II listed to ensure they will continue to delight visitors into the future.
The café is open from 10am-5pm every day (closed on Thursday) for breakfasts, fresh lunches, and delicious home-made cakes and cream teas.
All our meals are accompanied with freshly baked bread from our own in-house bakery. We are passionate about bread and bake every day from scratch using 100% organic ingredients without any artificial bread improvers or preservatives. Dogs welcome.
Chris and Liz Gunn look forward to welcoming you and ensuring your meal is one to remember.
